Rodrigo y Gabriela have announced a brief U.S. tour in support of their new, Nine Dead Alive. The Mexican guitar duo will kick things off with a two-night at the Beacon Theatre in New York City on May 1 and 2 before heading to Los Angeles for a gig at The Orpheum on May 6 and another at the Hollywood Palladium on May 7. The pair will then hit up Oakland and Seattle on their way to a concert at Red Rocks in Morrison, CO on August 17.

As previously reported, Rodrigo y Gabriela recently announced that they will be releasing their first original studio album since 2009, 9 Dead Alive, on April 29. The new LP will feature nine tracks, with each song celebrating the the life individuals that have died, but whose life and work still resonate in the 21st century. Going as far back as Eleanor of Acquitane (1122-1204) and recent as Viktor Frankl (1907-1997), the duo hoped that the record will strike a chord with anyone familiar with their passion for human rights, literature, history and philosophy.

Pre-sale tickets for most of Rodrigo y Gabriela’s newly announced dates will go on sale January 29, with the L.A. and Red Rocks shows going on sale on January 30. Tickets for all shows will be available to the general public on February 7.
