Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler joined Pearl Jam for a show-closing cover of Neil Young’s “Rockin’ in the Free World” last night at the Big Day Out festival in Perth, Australia. Both bands were headlining the touring festival, which was coming to a close in Perth after making its way through Auckland, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide.

Last night wasn’t the first time that Seattle rockers had invited some friends on stage to help them with the tune. As previously reported, all of Sleater-Kinney, R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck, The Minus 5 frontman Scott McCaughey and more joined Pearl Jam for the “Rockin in the Free World” in Portland, OR back in November.
