ALO brought their annual February Tour D’Amour to a close this weekend with a pair of shows at the historic Fillmore in San Francisco. This year, the shows were a benefit for Little Kids Rock, an organization that aims to provide music education for kids K-12. Some of the kids even participated in the show, with several joining the band on stage during the first set of the first show for a cover of Eddy Grant’s “Electric Avenue.”

The first night also included Orgone guitarist Sergio Rios joining the band for a cover of Prince’s “I Wanna Be Your Lover.” The Los Angeles outfit opened the show for ALO. It should also be noted on this night that guitarist Lebo dawned Jerry Garcia’s Wolf, a guitar the Grateful Dead frontman utilized in the ’70s.

ALO’s Fillmore finale included a host of sit-ins throughout the second set, as Tea Leaf Green’s Josh Clark as well as California rockers the Rainbow Girls jumped on stage for the classic “I Love Rock and Roll.” Later in the set, Trevor Garrod of TLG also sat in for “Storms and Hurricanes.” The final set closed with a cover of “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” along with the ALO original “I Love Music.”
