Vail Bluegrass has announced the lineup for its inaugural series to be held on four separate Wednesdays this summer at the Arrabelle at Vail Square. Drew Emmitt of Leftover Salmon will kick things off on July 2 with the Drew Emmitt Band while Grammy-award winner and six-time nominee Peter Rowan will perform with his Bluegrass Band on July 16. Four weeks later the festivities will continue as Grammy-nominee Sarah Jarosz takes the stage on August 13.

The Travelin’ McCourys will close out the series with Bill Nershi of the String Cheese Incident on August 27. Supporting artists are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

The shows will be free to those who wish to attend, though there is an option to purchase tickets for preferred seating, which will go on sale on April 1.

Additionally, the series will also be supporting Colorado’s Sera Schools Music Program – which offers education programs and music lessons for children and adults in piano, guitar, violin and voice – by setting up a scholarship in the name of Vail Bluegrass.
