The Decemberists have been added to the Saturday lineup for the Boston Calling festival, which is set tot take place at City Hall Plaza in Boston over Memroial Day weekend (May 23-25). The indie folk rock band will be playing their first show since August 2011, and Boston Calling is their only festival date this year. Lead singer Colin Meloy said the band is working on a new album and will be playing new songs at the festival.

Boston Calling will also feature performances by Jack Johnson, Death Cab for Cutie, Modest Mouse, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Brand New, The Head and the Heart, Tegan and Sara, Bastille, The Districts and more.

In related news, a limited number of general admission and VIP single-day Saturday and Sunday tickets have gone on sale today. Friday single-day tickets and two and three-day passes are still available as well.
