The Allman Brothers Band and MGMT to Offer Special Record Store Day Releases

The Allman Brothers Band and MGMT have confirmed limited edition vinyl releases available for Record Store Day on April 19.

The Allman Brothers Band will release a 12” double vinyl exclusive, Selections From: Play All Night: Live At The Beacon Theatre 1992. The vinyl will feature “Statesboro Blues,” “End of the Line” and “Whipping Post” from their new archival release Play All Night.

MGMT has two Record Store Day exclusives. Numbered, reissued versions of their albums Oracular Spectacular and Congratulations will be available on 12” vinyl.

Record Store Day was conceived in 2007 by a group of record store owners and employees as a way to celebrate the place record stores have in culture. The international event, which takes place the third Saturday of every April, features special vinyl and CD releases as well as various promotional products made exclusively for the day.
