Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe will pay tribute to Rick James during one of their upcoming Jazz Fest late night shows. The group will honor the late “Superfreak” icon with a special show at New Orleans’ House of Blues on Thursday, May 1.

Doors for the gig are set to open at midnight and the music will begin at 1am. Tickets for the event are now on sale.

As previously reported Karl Denson and his band have also scheduled a few other shows in the Big Easy for Jazz Fest.
