Yonder Mountain String Band, Railroad Earth, Leftover Salmon, Infamous Stringdusters and More to Play Strings and Sol

Strings and Sol will return to Puerto Morales, MEX for its third incarnation this December. The destination music festival has confirmed three shows from Yonder Mountain String Band, as well as two shows each from Railroad Earth, Leftover Salmon, The Infamous Stringdusters and Greensky Bluegrass. The festival will also feature Sam Bush as a special guest. All shows will take place on the beach at the Now Sapphire Resort from December 11-15. Pre-sale tickets will be made available on April 23, while general ticket sales begin the following day.

Sticking with the traditions of the past two years, the beachfront festival will also include various activities, workshops and theme nights, as well as opportunities for excursions such as snorkeling, boating, ziplining, exploring cenotes, visits to the Mayan Ruins and more.

Not the biggest Dusters fan, but the rest of this lineup looks dynamite! Wish I had the cash and time to do this one. Hey, Jambands.com, how’s about a contest giveaway. All exclusive round trip for four would be nice. :)

Looks like a good time, wish I could go. RE: Stringdusters. They are musically proficient but their act seems phony and staged to me. All their soloes where they go stand around the person soloing EVERY SINGLE TIME make it clear that doing it has nothing to do with being super into the music, it’s just a phony stage act. Decent music though. Everything else on this lineup is frickin awesome.

All 5 of those groups have their own unique bluegrass fingerprint. And Sam Bush…he is phenomenal. That trip looks like it would make for a fun time and some fun collaborations.
