The National’s Aaron Dessner is producing The Lone Bellow’s sophomore album, according to TLB’s Zach Williams. In a new interview with Paste Magazine, the singer confirmed that Dessner will be at the helm for the band’s next project, tentatively due out this October.

On the connection, Williams explained, “It turns out that Aaron lives just across the park from us in Brooklyn and has a studio in his backyard, which is where they made the majority of The National’s records.”

The Brooklyn group is currently recording the follow up to their self-titled debut at Dreamland Studios in Woodstock, NY but plan to return to Brooklyn to finish the recording at Dessner’s home studio following a performance at the Shaky Knees Festival. The National will also headline Shaky Knees.
