Summer Camp 2013 saw Umphrey’s and moe. cover a song by the other artist, with Umphrey’s reviving their old “Reubula” cover and moe. delivering “In the Kitchen.” This year, the two bands reached into their bag of tricks to perform the famed instrument switch. This time, Umphrey’s left the stage during “Ringo” to give way to moe.‘s performance of “Tailspin” before UM reemerged for the end of “Ringo.”
They last pulled this stunt during moe.down 2012 when Umphrey’s came out during moe.‘s headlining set for a Pink Floyd medley of “Time” which slowly segued into UM’s “dub” version of “Breathe.”
In other Summer Camp news, moe. also took the time to debut a pair of tunes—“Same Old Story and “This I Know”—both of which will appear on their May 27 release No Guts, No Glory.
