Dave Matthews Band Welcome The Lovely Ladies for First Time in 13 Years

Dave Matthews Band fans were treated to something of a throwback on Saturday night when The Lovely Ladies joined them on stage for the first time since 2001 at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, MA. The vocal trio—Cindy Mizelle, Tawatha Agee and new member Sharon Bryant—made their appearance toward the end of the second set, when they took the stage to help the crowd through the “#36” chorus (listed as “Everyday (reprise)” on the setlist). The trio then stuck around for renditions of “Long Black Veil,” “You & Me” and “Stay (Wasting Time)” before the set wrapped up.

The Lovely Ladies were a fixture on Dave Matthews Band tours from 1998-2001, and “#36” was one of their signature songs. Boyd Tinsley has confirmed via Twitter that Saturday’s collaboration will not be a one-time deal.
