Rock photographer Kirk West has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise money for his book Les Brers: Kirk West’s photographic journey with The Brothers. Most of the funds that are raised will pay for a “proven printer that has experience and history creating high fine art quality books.”

West is best known as a confidante and photographer of the Allman Brothers Band. After a number of years as professional rock photographer, West went on the road with the group, earning the moniker of “tour mystic” and shooting ten Allman Brothers Band LP, CD and DVD covers. He eventually founded Hittin the Note magazine, created the Allman Brothers Band Museum and became the band’s official archivist. West also hosted a special photo exhibit in New York City during the Allman Brothers’ run at the Beacon Theatre earlier this year.
