Morrissey Enlisted to Compile Best of the Ramones LP

According to True To You, Morrissey has compiled the tracklisting for the forthcoming Best of Ramones CD/LP, due out for release at an unspecified date via Sire-Rhino. The image above, also chosen by Morrissey, will serve as the sleeve image.

As previously reported, Marky Ramone, the last surviving member of the iconic punk band’s classic lineup, sat in with Arcade Fire on a pair of Ramones tunes including “I Don’t Wanna Go Down to the Basement” and “I Wanna Be Sedated.”

Morissey is a fucking whiny douche. Why anybody would take his taste in music as having any value whatsoever is beyond me. I hope Johnny Rotten rises from the grave and stakes that overflowered half a pussy in the chest like an extra on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

So why not one of the members of Arcade Fire?...Does somebody think Morrissey’s name is a selling point?...A credit for him on a totally redundant collection is perfectly appropriate tho

Morrissey was heavily influenced by the Ramones and saw them several times as a teenager when they were still a brand new band. He and Joey Ramone were both most influenced by the girl groups of the 1960’s as is apparent in their music albeit a different delivery. Noobs.
