Universal Music Group has teamed up with George Harrison’s family to release digitally remastered editions of the Beatle’s first six solo album. The forthcoming reissues, dubbed The Apple Yeas 1968-75, will feature Harrison’s albums Wonderwall Music, Electronic Sound, All Things Must Past, Living In The Material World, Dark Horse and Extra Texture (Read All About It), which were all originally released via The Beatles’ Apple Records label.

The Apple Years 1968-75 project was overseen by the late guitarist’s son Dhani Harrison. The six albums were digitally restored at Lurssen Mastering in Los Angeles by a Grammy-winning team of engineers that includes Paul Hicks, Gavin Lurssen and Reuben Cohen.

The Apple Years 1968-1975 will be available as a deluxe eight-dic box set that is intended to be a companion to Harrison’s 2004 collection The Dark Horse Years 1976-1992. The release will include a DVD with several videos, as well as a booklet with an introduction by Dhani Harrison and various rare and unpublished images.
