UK soul-jazz outfit The Filthy Six will return The States for their Texas Turnaround Tour later this fall. The group, which is led by trumpeter Nick Etwell (Mumford and Sons, Beck, Tom Jones) will get started at Prophet Bar in Dallas on September 25 before hitting a number of cities across the Southeast. The band will then return to Texas to wrap up the tour with a three-night run run through the Lonestar State in mid-October.

The Filthy Six made their American debut earlier this year when they swung through the Southeast and played a few dates in New York area. The lineup for their upcoming tour will feature Etwell, along with Frank Walden (saxophone), Jerry Haglund (guitar), Kevin Scott (bass), Nate Basinger (organ) and Duane Trucks (drums).

You can check out our interview with Etwell, in which the trumpeter discusses the UK soul/jazz scene, playing in America, his band’s residency at Brooklyn Bowl London and more, here.
