Charleston, SC’s Sol Driven Train have officially confirmed their new lineup. The group will showcase their new configuration during a newly announced fall tour.

Sol Driven Train’s lineup change includes the addition of organist and keys player, Ross Bogan, and bassist Matthew Thompson on board, who has for many years played alongside Bogan in Charleston’s collaborative music scene. This is the first time in their 14-year career that Sol Driven Train has toured with a keyboardist.

Thompson joined the band’s lineup after longtime bassist, Rusty Cole, resigned earlier this year in the middle of recording their tenth studio album DANCE!, which is due out next year.

“It was time for a change for both the band and for Rusty, and we wish him the best in his future endeavors,” said band leader Joel Timmons in a statement. “During his eight years on the road with Sol Driven Train, he became like a brother to us, and he will be missed as he moves on to exciting new things personally and professionally.”

The group will kick off an East Coast tour this weekend.
