Fans that attended this past weekend’s Catskill Chill were treated to a few great collaborations during the festival. Break Science were joined by Lettuce’s Eric Krasno, Eric Bloom, Jesus Coomes and Ryan Zoidis during their Saturday set, while Nigel Hall joined in on another song. Later in the day, Pink Talking Fish—everyone’s favorite Pink Floyd/Talking Heads/Phish tribute act—got some help from guitarist Jeff Lloyd during “Young Lust” and “Making Flippy Floppy,” while vocalist Haley Jane and bass trombonists/saxophonists The Hornitz sat in for “Burning Down The House.”

Sunday also saw some top-notch sit ins, as Particle got things going early as the Turkuaz horns sat in on “London Forces” before founding Particle bassist Eric Gould returned with The Hornitz for a cover of Tomayasu Hotei’s “The Battle Without Honor Or Humanity.” Next up, American Babies were joined by The Disco Biscuits’ Aron Magner (who was at the festival with Electron) for a cover the Grateful Dead’s “New Speedway Boogie,” a tune that Magner had performed a few days earlier when he played Lockn’ with Bill Kreutzmann’s Locknstep All Stars. Toward the end of the day, The Heavy Pets were then joined by Brock Butler, who sat in on Paul Simon’s “Diamonds On The Soles of Her Shoes,” before Aly Newitt took the stage for “Got To Know.”
