The Bridge School Benefit Concert kicked off last night at Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, CA and featured some special collaborations including the temporary reunion of the supergroup Temple of the Dog.

During Pearl Jam’s set, they welcomed out Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell for a performance of “Hunger Strike,” the hit from their lone self-titled record. This marked just their fourth performance since 1991 and their first since reuniting for a series of tunes during Pearl Jam’s 20th anniversary celebration at Alpine Valley in 2011.

As always, Neil Young made the rounds, sitting in with various musicians during their respective acoustic sets. Young joined Brian Wilson and Al Jardine for The Beach Boys’ “California Saga: California” as well as joining Norah Jones for a cover of his own “Down By the River.”

Bridge School continues tonight with performances from Young, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Tom Jones, Brian Wilson, Norah Jones, Band of Horses and more.
