Indie rocker Mac DeMarco was detained and several fans were arrested during his show at the University of California Santa Barbara after concert attendees began moshing. According to the Santa Barbara Independent, one male was arrested after allegedly challenging concert-goers and security officers to a fight and a 21-year-old female was arrested for moshing and resisting an officer. The female also allegedly assaulted a jail official, according to UCSB police Lt. Mark Signa.

The show would continue, however when DeMarco crowd surfed and climed a railing to the second floor of the venue, he was detained by police. According to Signa, it wasn’t until police officers spoke to DeMarco outside that they realized he was the lead singer.
