Grace Potter & The Nocturnals have launched Vaulturnal, a new archival release series that will offer fans fully mixed and mastered soundboard recordings of past GPN live performances. The band plans to release an assortment of show each year on CD and as high-quality digital downloads.

The first show in the series will be will be the GPN’s August 19, 2013 performance at the Koussevitsky Music Shed at the Tanglewood Music Center in Lennox, MA. That night’s set featured 22 songs, including three covers— acoustic versiom of the Junior Parker-penned Elvis classic “Mystery Train”, Heart’s “Crazy On You” and a take on Pink Floyd’s “Time” that appeared in the middled of “The Lion The Beast The Beat.”

“Now it’s just a matter of developing Vaulturnal into something that’s viable and self-sustaining until we can build an expanded platform and get a little crazier with it,” says Potter. “Because we spend most of our time on the road, and have a deep well of archives dating back to 2003, when my dad was recording our early shows as a trio.”
