Bill Kreutzmann’s Tryptoband made their debut last night at Zodiac’s in Petaluma, CA. The band, comprised of Kreutzmann and David Nelson, Barry Sless, Reed Mathis and Jason Crosby, offered up a variety of Grateful Dead tunes and a couple of interesting selections, most notably a take on Phish’s “Back on the Train.”

The band also took a moment during set two to dedicate “He’s Gone” to the late Rolling Stones sax player Bobby Keys, who passed away yesterday after a battle with cirrhosis. Above, watch a clip of “Mississippi Half Step” from the show.
