Modest Mouse launched their official Instagram page a mysterious new post of an LP entitled “Lampshades on Fire.” If it is indeed a potential new release, this would mark the band’s first since 2009’s No One’s First and You’re Next EP. The Issaquah, WA’s last full length effort came in 2007 with We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank.
“Lampshades on Fire” is a song the band has believed to have performed previously but never recorded. Listen to a performance of the tune from the Sasquatch Festival in 2011 below.
