Umphrey’s McGee’s Joel Cummins announced via Twitter that the band will indeed play one of their “classic” albums in full with improv this Wednesday or Thursday in Chattanooga, TN when the band hits the stage for a two-night run at Track 29. The last time the band played through one of their albums in its entirety was at the Nokia Theatre in New York on April 10, 2009 when they delivered an entire second set of Mantis.

“Classic” album would imply that the selection will be limited to one of their first four records, from 1998’s Greatest Hits Vol. III to 2006’s Safety in Numbers. The Chattanooga run kicks off February 4.
