The record industry will adopt Friday as the global release day for new albums. Billboard reports that the change will come this summer.

According to a statement from the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry—an organization that represents record labels around the world—studies have shown that most people would prefer that new music be released on Friday or Saturday. Apparently the conversation was inspired by Australian piracy issues and Beyonce’s surprise album release in December 2013.

Under today’s system , most albums are released internationally Mondays, while the U.S. release is scheduled for the following Tuesday.
