Soulive drummer Alan Evans will return to Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe on a full-time basis, according to the band’s Facebook page. These will be the drummer’s first shows with KDTU since 1998.
“We are pleased to announce the latest addition to our Universe,” the post read. “The great Alan Evans from Soulive will be retaking his seat on the KDTU drum throne. Exciting things to come!”
No word on when exactly Evans will be making his KDTU return but the band’s next show will be March 27 at the Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas after opening for Widespread Panic at The Joint. Consult the full tour schedule here.
