Grace Potter & The Nocturnals guitarist Scott Tournet has revealed that he will not be joining Potter on her upcoming solo tour. Tournet took to his Tumblr blog to explain the situation and clue fans in on his future projects with a post that reads:

A note to all the true fans old and new…

I will not be going out on tour in support of the solo album. At this time I can’t comment any further on anything except to say THANK YOU for all the support you have shown the band and me over the years. It has been a tremendous ride and meant the world to me. I sincerely mean that. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU.

What’s next? I plan on releasing an album in the near future. I’m still not sure if it will be a band thing or a solo thing but either way it’s coming ;). As I am a (proud) independent artist, I will be going the way of a crowd funding campaign. I would be forever grateful if you would get on this ride with me as it’s not easy out there these days and damn if I want to do anything else. I was born to do this.

As previously reported, Potter announced that she plans to release her first proper solo album, Midnight later this year. She also unveiled the forthcoming LP’s first single—a track called “Alive Tonight.”
