Wavy Gravy has announced that his 79th birthday will now be raising money for the Seva Foundation’s relief efforts in the earthquake-ravaged regions of Nepal. As previously reported, the event will feature sets from Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Steve Kimock & Friends, The California Honeydrops and Hot Buttered Rum.

Wavy Gravy co-founded the Seva Foundation in 1978. While the organization is primarily dedicated to curing and preventing blindness, Wavy tells Rolling Stone that they will be able to use their network of clinics in hospitals in the region to provide immediate relief. Seva has already distributed more than 7,000 containers of tents, blankets and food, and has pulled in more than $500,000 to help with the recovery.
