Gov’t Mule paid tribute to English bass guitarist (and founding member of Free) Andy Fraser during last night’s show at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London. The band debuted their take on Free’s “Little Bit of Love” during their encore in honor of Fraser, who died this past March. The song was also sandwiched between “Soulshine” and featured a guest appearance by longtime David Bowie collaborator and current The Cute guitarist Reeves Gabrels.

Last night’s London show included a few other sit ins, as Elliot Randall joined the group for Albert King’s “Feel Like Breaking Up Somebody’s Home” before Bernie Marsden and Joe McGlohon joined the fray for B.B. King’s “The Thrill Is Gone.”

Gov’t Mule will continue their tour next month when they return from Europe for Mountain Jam in Hunter, NY. Frontman Warren Haynes has also announced a run of dates with the backing of his new collaborators Railroad Earth.
