Chicago sons and longtime Cubs fans Umphrey’s McGee will return to Wrigley Field on August 11 to throw out the first pitch, sing the National Anthem and lead the stadium in the 7th inning stretch when the Cubs take on the Milwaukee Brewers on the first of a three-game series.

The band has previously participated in all of the ceremonial activities at Wrigley Field. Brendan Bayliss threw out the first pitch in 2013 and in 2012, Joel Cummins joined the broadcasters of WGN for a brief interview following the band’s 7th inning stretch.

Umphrey’s is currently coming off a brief run with Lettuce, which saw the groups collaborate on covers of Peter Gabriel and Herbie Hancock as well as a series of other UM originals.
