Particle continued a run of summer shows with a stop at The Brooklyn Bowl on Thursday, 8/6 for a show that featured rarities including “The American Dream,” a song keyboardist Steve Molitz wrote for the video game Scarface: The World Is Yours in 2006. About halfway through their performance, the band was joined by the Disco Biscuits’ Allen Aucoin and Jon Gutwillig for an extended version of the Biscuits’ own “Lunar Pursuit,” which later segued into Particle’s “W,” before moving back into “Lunar Pursuit.”

Particle then traveled to Thornville, OH for a surprise set at The Werk Out festival on Sunday night. The “pop up set” was announced via the band’s Facebook and Twitter, and featured covers of Beck’s “E-Pro” and Tomoyasu Hotei’s “Battle Without Honor or Humanity.” Special guests Eli Winderman (Dopapod) and Jeff Peterson (Turbo Suit) sat in for “Triple Threat.”
