Mike Gordon made a surprise appearance with a bluegrass band at Watkins Glen, NY’s Magnaball festival earlier today. Around 2pm, the Phish bassist sat in with the Saratoga Springs, NY bluegrass band Rambler’s Home in the festival’s farmer’s market area. Gordon played bass on the Townes Van Zandt song “White Freight Liner Blues.” The performance took place outside his daughter Tessa Gordon’s lemonade stand in the market.

Phish’s 10th official festival will continue this evening. The band will perform two more sets tonight as well as two sets on Sunday. The band is also rumored to play their traditional surprise “fourth set” later this evening.
