Dave Rawlings Machine will release their new album, Nashville Obsolete, this Friday, September 18. That day will also kick off their four-month tour in support of the album.

The Machine features Rawlings and songwriting partner Gillian Welch on vocals, along with Punch Brothers bassist Paul Kowert and Willie Watson on vocals and guitar.

Rawlings and Welch will also be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Aware for Songwriting from the Americana Music Association tomorrow, September 16, at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN.

The tour will start off with three dates in California, including the opening night in Santa Barbara at the Lobero Theatre. The Machine will then move up the coast and through the Midwest and East Coast, including a stop at New York’s Beacon Theatre.

The tour will then take a southern swing that will round out the year at the Ryman, then continue in January with a trip through the Southeast and back again to California to finish up at the Ace Hotel in Los Angeles. See the full schedule below.
