The Home Grown Music Network 20th Anniversary Festival has been cancelled due to Hurricane Joaquin. The festival was slated to take place at Mebane, NC’s Harmony Stage this weekend, featuring Home Grown Music Network bands such as Lotus, Keller Williams, Cornmeal, the original lineup of Purple Schoolbus, The Recipe, Roots of Creation, Barefoot Manner, Peter Prince & Moon Boot Lover and Big Daddy Love.

Statement from Homegrown organizers explains:

_It is with our deepest regrets that we must cancel this weekend’s Home Grown Music 20th Anniversary Festival.
Extreme wet weather has been hitting our state hard for more than the past week and with Hurricane Joaquin expected to impact our weather even further this coming weekend, we feel that this could become a potentially life threatening situation and we have the highest regards for your safety._

This is a heartbreaking situation for us, so we ask that you please bear with us while we sort everything out. Full refunds will be available for those who purchased tickets in advance. Stay tuned for more instructions early next week.

Several artists set to appear at the event will still perform in the area, albeit in a smaller, indoor environment. As off press time, BIG Something, Dangermuffin, Barefoot Manner and several others are confirmed for Saxapahaw, NC’s Haw River Ballroom today and tomorrow. A two-night pass is available for $25, Thursday only passes will cost $10 and Friday only passes are being sold for $20. Homegrown organizers are still seeking a viable option for Saturday and are asking “patrons to stay tuned to the website & Facebook event page for more up-to-date information.”
