Last night, Antibalas played their final show in a four-week run at the Brooklyn Bowl and finished things off with a high-energy performance that featured guests Lee Fields, Will Holland (aka Quantic) and more.

Before bringing out the announced guests, the band played a couple Antibalas favorites, “The Ratcatcher” and “Dirty Money,” with Sahr Ngaujah from Broadway’s Fela!. Ngaujah returned to the stage for a set closer of Fela Kuti’s “Opposite People” and the Kuti encore “No Buredi.” Rubblebucket’s Kalmia Traver also joined in for “Him Belly No Go Sweet” and the encore as well.

Next, Holland came up for a couple cumbia tunes, including his own collaboration with Nickodemus, “Mi Swing Es Tropical.” Fields was then brought out for two of his own tunes, “Ladies” and “She’s a Lovemaker,” along with a cover of Sly Stone’s “Sing a Simple Song.” Watch a video of that “Lovemaker” above.
