Over the weekend, ALO closed out their Tour d’Amour with a couple of shows at San Francisco’s Fillmore. As with the rest of the tour, Stu Allen and Mars Hotel and Mike Love split opening duties for the weekend, and also joined the band for some songs, along with a few other friends.

On Friday, ALO presented the promised “Technicolor Time Tangler” show, which featured a horn section and the entirety of their Time Expander album in the first set. Allen joined the band in the second set for “Try,” the Grateful Dead’s “China Cat Sunflower” and “Walls of Jericho.” Watch a video of the latter two songs below. Mars Hotel keyboardists Jordan Feinstein also helped out on second-set closer “Lady Loop,” and for the encore, ALO brought out New Monsoon’s Bo Carper and Jeff Miller, along with Nicki Bluhm & the Gramblers’ Dave Mulligan, for the Eagles’ “Hotel California.”

The following night saw Mulligan return in the second set for a run of “Not Old Yet,” while opener Mike Love joined in on David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance,” which also featured costumed dancers, as ALO rounded out their February tour
