Animal Collective confirmed today that they will host their own festival dubbed A N I M A L C O L L E C T I V E to be held in Big Sur, CA at the Fernwood Resort on September 23 and 24. The festival will feature nightly performances from the rgroup along with sets from WIFE, Winter, The Range of Light Wilderness, M. Geddes Gengras and Jessica Pratt. Tickets go on sale March 23.

In addition to the festival announcement, the group extended their world tour in support of their latest Floridada. The run will stretch deep into the fall with U.S. dates scheduled into November where the Baltimore outfit will find themselves wrapping up the tour in the Southeast.
