Umphrey’s McGee wrapped up a two night run at The Ritz in Raleigh, NC highlighted by another collaboration between the members of UM and TAUK, who opened the show.

To close the second set, the band welcomed out Alric Carter on keys and Matt Jalbert on guitar for a cover of the Beatles’ “I Want You (She’s So Heavy),” a tune that UM recorded for their London Session release and one that TAUK has incorporated into their cover repertoire over their entire career.

Other highlights from the show include just the fourth “Stinko’s Ascension” of all time, as the 2015 Raw Stewage cut hadn’t been performed since September 2015.

The band also took time to pay homage to Chicago, who was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, by jamming their “25 or 6 to 4” during “Comma Later” in the second set.

Next up for UM is a show at the Joy Theater in New Orleans on April 14.
