Last night at the Orpheum Theater in New Orleans, legendary funk quartet The Meters got together for a rare performance with all four original members of the band, bassist George Porter Jr, guitarist Leo Nocentelli, keyboardist Art Neville and drummer Zigaboo Modeliste.

In a show that lasted over two hours, the quartet welcomed out Warren Haynes and Bernie Worrell for “Just Kissed My Baby,” Grace Potter sat in for “Ain’t No Use,” Trombone Shorty came onstage for a song and Dumpstaphunk’s Ivan Neville sat in on keys for most of the night. A four-piece horn section also added to the performance for half of the set.

The Funky Meters, which features Porter and Art Neville, will also be playing two New Orleans shows next week, at Fiya Fest on April 27 and at Tipitina’s on April 29.
