Pearl Jam headlined Jazz Fest with a 25-song set that included a few notable performances including tour debuts of “Arms Aloft,” “Gods’ Dice,” “In Hiding” and The Who’s “The Real Me,” which featured a horn section comprised of Skerik, Carly Meyers and New Orleans musicians Big Sam Williams and Andrew Baham. Following The Who cover, which was last played in 2014, Pearl Jam closed their set by draping Steve Gleason’s New Orleans Saints jersey over the front of the stage, inviting Gleason to the stage and playing Neil Young’s “Rockin’ in the Free World” with Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith filling in for Matt Cameron, who added guitar to the cover. In addition, Kings of Leon’s Nathan Followill picked up a tambourine and added vocals to the tune.

Pearl Jam’s tour continues Tuesday in Lexington, KY.
