Bob Weir was among those who appeared at the Second Annual Einstein Gala in Toronto last night in support of the Einstein Legacy Project. As Yahoo reports, Weir spoke to the crowd about the importance of science, technology, mathematics and engineering before delivering a solo acoustic set.

According to Jambase, the highlights from Weir’s brief acoustic set included covers of “Dear Prudence” as well as Little Feat’s “Easy to Slip.” Weir also invited Toronto native Dan Kanter to sit in on a few tunes. The former musical director for Justin Bieber sat in on tunes like “Friend of the Devil,” “Birdsong” and “Jack Straw” before helping Weir finish things off with a “Ripple” encore.

Kanter wrote on his Instagram that it was “an honor” to share the stage with Weir at the event. Others who appeared included CNN’s Anderson Cooper.
