David Crosby has responded to former bandmate Neil Young’s comments on Donald Trump, where Young addressed the Republican candidate’s usage of his song “Rockin’ in the Free World.” Crosby simply responded on Twitter, quoting the link and saying, “Everybody makes mistakes sometimes—there’s one.”

Young spoke with Reuters on the subject, saying that he has “nothing against” Trump for using the song. “Once the music goes out, everybody can use it for anything,” he said. Young also confirmed that the Trump campaign obtained proper clearance from ASCAP to use the song. Young added, “If the artist who made it is saying you never spoke to them, if that means something to you, you probably will stop playing it. And it meant something to Donald and he stopped.”

Crosby has been wrapped up in CSNY drama for some time now, as Graham Nash ripped him in the media, saying that he has “ripped the heart out” of CSNY. He added, “He’s been awful for me the last two years, just fucking awful. I’ve been there and saved his fucking ass for 45 years, and he treated me like shit.”
