Boston Calling Music Festival has announced that it will change locations from the current City Hall Plaza for next year’s festival, as the event will now take place in the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston, MA, next May.

The festival has also confirmed that there will be no September edition this year, and Boston Calling will now be a once-a-year festival on Memorial Day weekend.

In a statement posted by the festival, organizers say, “The move will allow us to expand our offerings to include a combination of music, film, comedy, and visual art.” They also add that The National’s Aaron Dessner will continue to serve as musical curator for the fest, and they will introduce a new film program into the festival that will be curated by actress Natalie Portman.
