Bob Weir hung around following Dead & Company’s two night run at Boston’s Fenway Park to jam with Paul McCartney tonight during the Beatle’s show at the famed ballpark tonight.

Weir came out during the encore for Wings’ “Hi, Hi, Hi” and the Beatles’ classic “Helter Skelter.” For the latter, New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski also came out on stage to dance and play air guitar.

The sit-in marks the first between Weir and McCartney, reuniting two of the greatest bands of the 60s and 70s. The Dead guitarist told Relix that one of his favorite shows ever was seeing the Beatles at Candlestick Park. Weir said, “The instrumental blend and interplay was pretty spectacular. The vocals were better still. They used no onstage monitors—they hadn’t been invented yet—but their lead vocals and harmonies were wonderful. They did ‘Yesterday’ in a four- part harmony, and it was transcendent.”
