The Disco Biscuits have announced the rerelease of their first ever studio recording, Encephalous Crime, which has been remastered for vinyl after years of not being available for purchase.

The album marked the band’s first foray into the studio while they were still students at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. The tracklist includes, as the band’s announcement reads, “classic renditions of songs that have long been stalwarts of the repertoire” like “Mr. Don,” “Stone,” “Devil’s Waltz” and “Rainbow Song.”

On his Facebook page, Aron Magner reflected on the rerelease, writing, “I have fond memories of making this album and our first experience in a real studio when we were just kids in college.” He goes on to say that the limited edition Encephalous Crime vinyl comes with a digital download of the album as well and that the band will also be releasing a digital-only version of the record at a later date.

Encephalous Crime can be ordered here.
