Umphrey’s McGee took their summer tour to the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion in Boston, MA, last night, welcoming some increasingly familiar faces to the stage, as Lettuce’s Shady Horns duo joined the band for several tunes throughout the night, as they did earlier this year in New Orleans this past December at Dominican Holidaze.

Near the end of the first set, the Horns made their first appearance of the night on “Speak Up,” as trumpeter Eric “Benny” Bloom and saxophonist Ryan Zoidis came out to help UM deliver the funky cut, then stayed around to add their horns to the grooving “Headphones & Snowcones” and the set closer “Example 1.”

The second set had a similar format, as Umphrey’s played the first half of the set, which kicked off with “Dump City” and featured some “Drums” bookended by “Divisions” before a “Wizard Burial Ground,” by themselves. Bloom and Zoidis then came out for the closing run of “I Got Love” and “Women Wine and Song” before the entire collective came back out for an encore of “Bad Friday.” Watch a couple clips from the sit ins above and below.

Umphrey’s McGee will play The Peach Festival in Scranton, PA, tonight.
