Gov’t Mule and Blackberry Smoke continued their tour together in Saratoga, CA at the Mountain Winery and as has become customary on this tour, the two collaborated during Mule’s set for a cover-filled encore.

This time around it was Neil Young & Crazy Horse’s “Danger Bird” with Blackberry Smoke guitarist Charlie Starr before a more soul-oriented cover in Al Green’s “Take Me to the River.”

The pair of covers were the seventh and eighth on the evening as Mule also dipped into Zeppelin’s “No Quarter” as well as the Allman Brothers’ “Kind of Bird,” Ray Charles’ “I Believe to My Soul,” ZZ Top’s “Just Got Paid” and others.

The tour continues tonight at Sonoma Mountain Village in Rohnert Park, CA.
