Last night, Gov’t Mule once again dipped into their seemingly bottomless reserve of covers on their current tour with Blackberry Smoke, by welcoming guitarist Charlie Starr for another encore in Ronhert Park, CA.

Starr came up to kick off the two-song encore with Funkadelic’s “Maggot Brain” before bassist Paul Ill joined the collective onstage to sit in for Mule’s Jorgen Carlsson on the traditional folk tune “Where Did You Sleep Last Night” (aka “In the Pines”). Watch a clip of the latter song below.
