The Tedeschi Trucks Band continued their western swing last night at The Fox Theater in Oakland, CA, welcoming out a special guest for their second of two nights at the venue.

Billed as “An Evening with Tedeschi Trucks Band,” the night featured two sets from the group featuring covers of The Beatles, Derek and the Dominoes, Santana, Miles Davis and more, plus a slew of originals from the band as well as The Derek Trucks Band. Susan Tedeschi also led the band through a cover of Jerry Garcia’s “Sugaree,” which she and Derek Trucks played with Phil Lesh & Friends at the recent Lockn’ Festival.

After the two sets, TTB were joined by Chris Robinson for two songs, a cover of Bob Dylan’s “You Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere” and Joe Cocker’s “Space Captain,” which Robinson previously played with Tedeschi Trucks during their Mad Dogs & Englishmen Cocker tribute at Lockn’ 2015.

Next up for Tedeschi Trucks Band is a show tonight at MontBleu Resort in Lake Tahoe, NV. The band will play a few more western shows with support from Nicki Bluhm and The Gramblers, including a two-night stand at Los Angeles’ Orpheum Theatre, before they kick off their six-night run at New York’s Beacon Theatre with guests like Jorma Kaukonen, Dave Mason and more.
