Tedeschi Trucks Band kicked off their six-night run at New York’s famed Beacon Theatre last night with a show full of band staples and some cross sit ins with opening act Amy Ray.

For the opening set, Ray welcomed out Susan Tedeschi to help out on a couple tunes, including Ray’s “Duane Allman,” a tribute to the late Allman Brothers Band guitarist. Watch a video of that performance below.

After TTB’s headlining set, which included covers of David Bowie’s “It Ain’t Easy,” Allen Toussaint’s “Get Out of My Life, Woman,” George Harrison’s “Isn’t It a Pity,” The Beatles’ “Within You Without You” and more, the band returned to the stage for a cover of Nina Simone’s “I Wish I Knew How It Would Be,” and Bob Dylan’s “You Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere,” with Ray sitting in on the latter. Watch a video of the show-closing cover above.

Tedeschi Trucks continue their Beacon run with their first “An Evening with…” tonight.
