Bob Weir celebrated the launch of his exclusive D’Angelico guitar with an after hours set at the NAMM Show for VIP guests of the company.

Weir was joined by a cast that included former Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum as well as Gene Cornish, Paul III, The Doobie Brothers’ Jeff Skunk Baxter, Robert Randolph and other guests, who aided Weir in tunes from his Blue Mountain record as well as some Dead favorites.

To start the show, Weir was joined by Sorum and Paul III for “Easy to Slip” before Randy Ray Mitchell came out to add guitar for “Lay My Lily Down” and “Only a River.” Mitchell’s (and Paul III’s) bandmate Mark Tremalgia also came out for guitar for a sprawling “Dark Star,” “West L.A. Fadeaway” and “Jack Straw” before Cornish joined the fold for The Beatles’ “Come Together.”

The finale found Weir, Sorum, Paul III, Mitchell and Tremalgia welcome Robert Randolph and Baxter for a closing combo of “The Other One” and “Touch of Grey” before departing.
